BenQ Unveils SP820 Projector with Split Screen Function Wide Screen SP820 Offers Innovative Dual Source Inputs, 3500 ANSI Lumens, Brilliant Color Technology and Optional Wireless (June 09, 2006)

BenQ, a leading manufacturer of digital lifestyle devices, today announced the launch of the SP820 projector. With two different color enhancement technologies and dual input functionality, the SP820 is the premier choice for multi-faceted, creative presentations in conferencing situations, lectures and other open environments. This projector matches the conference discussion need where two presentation files can be shown simultaneously and/or side by side for the audience.

The BenQ SP820 features dual source inputs that enable viewing of two sources in either PIP (Picture in Picture, which shows a minor picture in a major one), POP (Picture of Picture, which supports two pictures independently without intervene) or PAP (Picture by Picture, which demonstrates two adjacent pictures) format, allowing for volumes of information to be displayed effectively -- a capability ideal for financial and research-based presentations containing considerable amounts of data.

In addition to its ultra-high brightness of 3500 ANSI lumens to combat the brightest conference room, the BenQ SP820 ensures the best in presentation, picture and movie viewing with its Color Matching and BrilliantColor(TM) Technology. With the latest in five segment color wheel coating technology, BenQ's Color Matching technology ensures the picture projected is exactly the same color and saturation of the original input signal. Utilizing a new algorithm in color processing, the BrilliantColor(TM) Technology feature allows for higher picture brightness while providing more vibrant colors and a greater than 50 percent brightness increase in mid-tones typically found in videos and natural scenes.

In the office setting, users can purchase the optional LinkPro II wireless module. This allows users to move freely during a presentation without the hassle of additional cables.
