Download and installation This week's pattern collection is compressed using Stuffit from Aladdin Systems. The Stuffit Expander is a free utility for Macintosh, Linux, Windows and Solaris that can be downloaded here. Chances are you already have it on your system. If not, download and install it. You can also configure your browser to decompress files of the ".sit" type automatically using Expander.Download: Nagel Series 3 Photoshop Patterns (736 KB)[an error occurred while processing this directive]Once you download the pattern file (NagelSeries03pat.sit), double-click the file to decompress it, or drag it over the Stuffit Expander application icon. After the file is decompressed (NagelSeries03.pat), move it into the Patterns directory in your Photoshop folder (/Adobe Photoshop/Presets/Patterns). Then launch Photoshop.

Open your Preset Manager (Edit > Preset Manager), select "Patterns" and click on the flyaway menu at the top right. There you'll find the new pattern collection, which you can install simply by selecting it. (If you don't see it listed, click the "Load" button and locate the file manually on your hard drive.) After you select it, the new patterns will appear in the Preset Manager and will then be accessible through various Photoshop functions, such as Layer > New Fill Layer > Pattern or Layer > Layer Style > Pattern Overlay.
